We recapped the first week of Hardcore Mode on yesterday's State of the Game with some cool statistics from December 10-16 as well as a shout out for the top tier agents that not only braved the Operation Dark Hours raid on Hardcore mode but also made it with everybody making it out alive in one piece. A truly impressive achievement, Agents.

  • 1.2% of characters reached World Tier 5 during the first week.
  • 6 Operation Dark Hours Raids were completed in the first week.

On yesterday's State of the Game stream we talked about what is coming with our final Year 1 content update, Episode 3 as well as announcing that it will be released in February.

Episode 3 will take you to Coney Island, New York and will mark the return of the Cleaner faction from the first game. The Episode 3 content will be free for all players, except for the two new classified assignments, which is Year 1 Pass exclusive content.

  • Two new narrative main missions.
  • Two new classified assignments for Year 1 Pass holders.
  • New specialization

Tune in to State of the Game on January 29th for a deep dive into Coney Island and the new specialization.

As many of you know, the release of our second raid "Foundry" was postponed until 2020. Yesterday's State of the Game included an update on the current development status of the raid. It's progressing nicely and our current release estimate is around mid 2020. We can't wait to see you guys take on this challenging endeavor later in the year!

We will be introducing upcoming revamps of Item Stats "RNG", Skill Power, Recalibration as well as UI improvements in the coming weeks State of the Game streams. Please note that these changes are not coming with Episode 3 and will be released when ready, but we really wanted to show you guys what we've been working on beyond Episode 3.

We're also continuing to investigate a wide range of bugs and issues currently present in the game. While this list is by no means exhaustive, some of the areas that we're currently working on are:

  • Raid stats
  • Raid leaderboards
  • Invisible walls
  • Enemies getting stuck in their spawn areas
  • PvP balance

Next week's State of the Game will introduce upcoming changes to how gear stats is calculated, marking the return of the "god roll" as well as UI improvements. These changes are currently in production but will be released when they are ready following the release of Episode 3.

That's it for this week!

Until next time,

/The Division 2 Development Team
